Abstract

The present document contains the description of the therapeutic interventions made in a case of social phobia. The 20 years old young woman goes to a private institution of health for a psychological treatment under the diagnostic of social phobia, before the intervention starts, the diagnostic is confirmed with the indicators of DSM V as well from the application of scales of social anxiety and social phobia used in the clinic practice. In the therapeutic intervention, the model of brief strategic therapy is followed and applied to phobias and panic, used by Giorgio Nardone. The techniques used in the therapeutic process were self-registers, paradoxical prescriptions, redefinition of the problem and positive connotation. From the intervention used in few weeks have been evidenced big changes in the young woman the symptoms of activation physiological are extinguished and make activities by herself outdoors. Currently she is retaking friendships with old friends.
