This article aims to analyze the practice of person-centered therapy (PCT) in the Chilean context, with particular emphasis on understanding the therapeutic process with adult clients through the narratives of psychotherapists working from this perspective. Methodologically, this is a qualitative study that employed Thematic Analysis (TA) to analyze the findings. Data were generated through semi-structured interviews with six psychotherapists, four women and two men. Four central themes emerged: initial sessions, intermediate sessions, closing sessions, and common therapeutic interventions. The findings highlight distinctive features across different stages of the therapeutic process and suggest that therapy can be understood as a relatively structured journey while remaining centered on the client as a person. The study concludes by emphasizing the importance of systematizing PCT processes within the field of clinical psychology, both for therapist training and for research.
