Abstract

A clinical case is presented whose main objective was to explore the identity crisis therapeutically and the meaning given to being a woman that emerged from a homosexual experience. For this, therapeutic sessions were carried out, based on the Narrative Therapy of the systemic approach. Sessions were held in which the meaning of the homosexual experience, the relationship in the construction of her femininity and the forgiveness she wanted to give herself for the experience lived were worked on. We find that narrative therapy is effective for working in those rigid social constructions, which hinder the significance of diversity of experiences, as is the case with homosexual experience. It is important to conduct research on the transformation of stories through the meaning attributed to what it is to be or not homosexual, in addition to allowing the extension and depth necessary to glimpse the various meanings that are assigned to sexuality in general.
