Organization, coexistence and demands in three camps of victims after earthquake-tsunami of 27 / f in Talcahuano, Chile

This research aimed to know the perception of the needs and social climate of a coastal community affected by the earthquake and tsunami lived in Chile in February 2010. Five semi-structured interviews and a group interview were conducted. In total 11 people participated, 2 men and 9 women between 31 and 81 years. The corpus were analyzed using the NVivo 8 program following the ground theory stages. Among the main individual effects observed is the accentuated experience of fear; while from the social point of view, the experience of interdependence between those affected and the increase in the sense of group membership stand out. The implications of these changes are analyzed for the understanding of the psychosocial processes that localities affected by disasters live.
