Abstract

This research seeks to investigate the relationship between resilience and self-esteem. Two instruments were used to measure the study variables to a total population of 298 girls and boys, between 10 and 12 years of age, from private and public schools in the City of La Paz. The results obtained indicate that for the participants of private schools as well as public schools, although the variables self-esteem and resilience have no significant correlation, the environment in which children are, their experiences and the influence of the determinants, seem be some of the factors that make a difference within this relationship.
