Abstract

This paper covers two important topics, family structuralist therapy in a family with a child diagnosed with Autism. Autism is a disorder with multifactorial characteristics that although it has no cure, affects not only the patient but the family, this is presented as a grieving experience for the family. It works with family structuralist therapy to achieve changes within the family that allow a better development in the child on a personal and social level and that the family despite the disease is reorganized in a functional way. The results of this work show that through structuralist therapy a change in family organization was achieved in order to have functional factors that allow a better quality of life not only for the child with autism but also for all members of this .
