To determine the level of prevalence of blooming in university students in Metropolitan Lima according to gender. 376 university students from Metropolitan Lima between 18 and 21 years of age participated in the present study. The Mental Health Continuum Scale (MHC-SF) was applied. The level of flourishing in male students was 22.67%, while among females it was 17.16%. On the other hand, the level of languishing affects 32.56% of male students and 36.27% of female students. The levels of languishing are low compared to those recorded in other countries of the region. It is concluded that the prevalence of flourishing is a significant indicator of well-being, so it is crucial to take cultural and socioeconomic factors into account when designing mental health interventions, given the notable differences in the prevalence of flourishing among various demographic groups.
