¿O que é neuroenhancement? Para uma compreensão enactive do fenômeno.

Resumo

Nas últimas décadas, o consumo de drogas psicoativas tem aumentado constantemente na população mundial. Particularmente na América Latina há um aumento no consumo de drogas ilícitas, inclusive psicotrópicas, principalmente na população universitária por meio da automedicação. Dentro das práticas de automedicação no mundo universitário encontramos diferentes usos sociais e subjetivos, destacando-se entre eles o uso de drogas psicoestimulantes para melhorar o desempenho acadêmico, prática denominada neuroenhancement. Esta forma de usar a droga põe em causa o fosso epistemológico entre as ciências biológicas e as ciências sociais, uma vez que a sua compreensão não é redutível a nenhum destes paradigmas. As ações humanas ocorrem sempre em circunstâncias físicas e culturais, onde o outro e a vida social afetam a sua própria percepção e ação., que leva em consideração sua natureza complexa e dinâmica, bem como o trabalho científico e interdisciplinar.
