Abstract

The objective is to achieve adherence to the treatment of childhood epilepsy within a family of Aymara origin. The family  is  motivated  by  cultural  beliefs  about  illness  and  pain  that  hinder care and attachment to the identified  patient. The  primary  objective  of  achieving  adherence  to treatment and improving quality in the family  and  daughter was achieved. The therapy led to the expression of feelings, to understand the impact of the  disease  on  the  family,  to the recognition of the role of the primary caregiver of the mother and finally to assess the personal, social, disease and health service factors to achieve adherence to treatment
